Privacy Policy
Borderplus provides sales and collections software for estate developers. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it and the choices you have. It applies to our website and our application.
1. Who we are
Borderplus is operated from Abuja, Nigeria. You can reach us at hello@borderplus.com.ng or +234 802 709 5174 or +234 706 086 2835. In this policy, "you" means anyone who uses our website or application, and "your company" means the developer company that holds a Borderplus account.
2. Information we collect
- Account information. Name, email address, phone number and role, provided when an account is created for you.
- Company information. Company name, registration number, address and contact details, used on documents the system generates.
- Business records you enter. Estates, plots, prices, subscriber names and contact details, payment plans, payments and documents. Your company enters and owns this information.
- Technical information. Device type, browser, IP address and activity logs, collected automatically to keep the service secure and working.
3. How we use information
- To provide the service: plot inventory, payment tracking, reports and generated documents.
- To secure accounts, prevent fraud and keep an accurate record of who did what in the system.
- To respond to support requests.
- To send service notices about your account. We do not send marketing messages to your subscribers.
4. Your subscribers' information
Developer companies enter information about their own clients into Borderplus. For that information, your company is the data controller and Borderplus is a data processor acting on its instructions. We use subscriber information only to provide the service to your company. We do not sell it, share it with advertisers or use it for any other purpose.
5. Storage and security
- Data is stored with established cloud infrastructure providers and encrypted in transit.
- Access is controlled by accounts and roles. Staff of one company cannot see another company's records.
- Payment records are append only. Once recorded they cannot be edited or deleted, and corrections are made by reversing entries. This protects the integrity of your books.
6. Sharing
We do not sell personal information. We share information only with service providers who host and run the platform under confidentiality obligations, or where the law requires us to disclose it.
7. Retention
We keep your records for as long as your company's account is active. If the account is closed, your company can request an export of its records, after which we delete them within a reasonable period, except where the law requires longer retention.
8. Your rights
Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023, you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to correct it, to request deletion where it no longer needs to be held, and to complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@borderplus.com.ng. If your information was entered by a developer company, we may direct your request to that company as the controller of the record.
9. Cookies
Our website uses only the cookies needed for the site and the application to function, such as keeping you signed in. We do not use advertising cookies.
10. Changes
If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page with a new effective date. Material changes will be notified to account holders by email.
